Over the past 5 years, with my current business role, I have been lucky enough to have been travelling to some pretty spectacular places in the world.  I have met some wonderful people and been part of some pretty extraordinary adventures.

Prior to this particular job I wasn’t much of a traveller and, to coin a phrase from B.A, “no fool is getting me on a plane!”  Without Face or Mad Murdoch to trick me into being hit with some sleeping serum it was typically 5-10 Jack D and cokes that would eventually force me on.  Now travel seems second nature and I must spend around 2 months of the year visiting the world.  I am truly blessed but it comes at a price – and that is time away from my lovely wife and kids.

For some time I’d been meaning to keep a log or journal for their information – to understand a little more about what I’ve been up to when I’m away.  However, I am certainly very happy for anyone else to read these entries and share it with whom they wish.  I hope it goes some way to keeping my family and friends up to date with what I’ve been up to but also help educate my kids on the fun that travel brings.
